Maintenance Technician

3rd Shift | 9:00pm – 5:30am
$27–$33/hour + $1/hour Shift Premium

The Opportunity

We’re hiring a 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician for a stable, family-owned manufacturing company in Fort Wayne.

This role supports an aluminum casting and machining operation with a mix of long-standing equipment and newer production machines recently installed as part of ongoing investment in the facility.

Technicians are trusted to work independently, troubleshoot issues, and keep production running throughout the night shift.

Ownership is highly involved in the business and maintains a strong connection with employees — creating a workplace that values both performance and people.

Schedule & Pay

• 3rd Shift: 9:00pm – 5:30am

• $27–$33/hour

• $1/hour shift premium

• The facility is currently experiencing high demand and overtime is common, including Saturdays through mid-April

• Opportunities to assist with special projects and equipment upgrades

What You’ll Be Doing

Maintenance technicians support the entire facility and production equipment.

Responsibilities include:

• Troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems up to 480V 3-phase

• Diagnosing hydraulic and pneumatic systems

• Reading blueprints and electrical schematics

• Maintaining casting and machining production equipment

• Servicing gas-powered forklifts and facility vehicles

• Supporting facility maintenance needs

• Assisting with equipment installations and process improvements

This role requires strong troubleshooting ability and comfort working independently.

What We’re Looking For

• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

• Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, and 480V electrical systems

• Ability to read blueprints and schematics

• Self-motivated technician capable of working without close supervision

• Experience supporting industrial manufacturing equipment

Work Environment

This is a heavy industrial aluminum casting environment.

The building is older, and the work can be hot, dirty, and physically demanding at times.

However, the company continues to invest in the facility, including new production equipment and a newly renovated employee breakroom.
