Receivership Analyst / Project Manager
Location: Metro Detroit, Michigan
Schedule: Full-time or part-time | In-office/Hybrid flexibility may be available based on business needs
Overview
A well-established Metro Detroit law firm is seeking a detail-oriented Receivership Analyst / Project Manager to support its growing receivership practice. This position is ideal for a professional who is comfortable working in complex financial, operational, and asset-management environments and can manage multiple concurrent matters with discretion, accuracy, and sound judgment.
The successful candidate will work closely with attorneys, court-appointed receivers, financial professionals, courts, and other stakeholders to support the administration of receivership matters across a variety of industries and asset types.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the administration and coordination of court-appointed receivership matters from appointment through resolution.
Organize, analyze, and maintain financial, operational, and asset-related records.
Support preparation of court reports, status updates, budgets, asset inventories, cash-flow analyses, and other receivership-related documentation.
Track assets, liabilities, receivables, expenses, payments, contracts, and operational obligations.
Coordinate project timelines, deadlines, communications, meetings, and deliverables among attorneys, receivers, courts, consultants, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Assist with due diligence, document review, financial record collection, and analysis of business operations.
Support the management, preservation, disposition, or transition of assets and business operations, as appropriate.
Help identify issues, risks, and process inefficiencies, and develop organized solutions for review by the receivership team.
Maintain confidential files, detailed records, and accurate reporting in accordance with court requirements and firm procedures.
Communicate professionally and effectively with internal team members, clients, third parties, financial institutions, vendors, and court personnel.
Qualifications
Experience supporting receiverships, insolvency matters, asset administration, restructuring, business operations, financial analysis, commercial lending, accounting, consulting, or a related field.
Strong organizational, analytical, and project-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and matters simultaneously.
Comfortable reviewing financial records, contracts, bank statements, operating reports, invoices, asset schedules, and other business documentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High level of professionalism, discretion, attention to detail, and follow-through.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and multidisciplinary teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Experience with legal, financial, accounting, case-management, or document-management systems is a plus.
Bachelors degree in business, finance, accounting, legal studies, economics, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
