Growing national subrogation law firm specializing in complex property, energy, CAT, and product recall losses seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join its team in a hybrid role. This position is ideal for an entrepreneurial litigator who wants to handle complex, high‑value matters in a supportive, collaborative environment while leveraging prior insurance defense, plaintiff personal injury, premises liability, or medical malpractice experience that translates well into subrogation litigation.

What You’ll Do
Handle files during the pre‑litigation and investigation phase, often coordinating teams of forensic experts.
Litigate matters from discovery through trial, including motion practice and case strategy.
Conduct and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and hearings.
Assist with trial strategy, preparation, and trial as appropriate.
Handle matters in other states through pro hac vice admission.
Interact directly with clients and participate in marketing and business development functions.

What We’re Looking For
Licensed and in good standing with the Michigan state bar (additional admissions a plus).
Minimum of two years of litigation experience; 3–4 years strongly preferred.
Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
Ability to effectively manage multiple cases and deadlines.
Able to work both independently and collaboratively.
Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and professional, with an interest in subrogation and recovery work.

Why This Role Stands Out
Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
Significant performance‑based bonus opportunities.
Comprehensive benefits package.
Hybrid work arrangement with flexibility: 2 days remote, 3 days in office, no billable hour requirement.
Exposure to sophisticated, high‑stakes subrogation matters.
Meaningful responsibility and direct client contact.
Mentorship from experienced litigators and long‑term growth potential within a national platform.
