Job Title: Partner – Commercial Litigation

Position Overview
We seek an accomplished Commercial Litigation Partner to lead our business litigation practice. Ideal candidates have 8+ years of litigation experience, handle complex commercial disputes, and bring or build a strong book of business. Equity or Non-Equity Partner track available (flexible based on fit).
Key Responsibilities
Lead complex commercial litigation: contract disputes, business torts, shareholder/partnership conflicts, non-competes, trade secrets, debtor-creditor matters, insurance coverage
Serve as primary counsel for key business clients; develop litigation strategy through trial/appeal
Build and cultivate book of business (highly encouraged; $500K–$1M+ recurring revenue preferred but flexible for exceptional candidates)
Mentor Associates and contribute to firm governance/business development
Represent firm at industry events and in the community
Qualifications
Required:
J.D., active Michigan Bar (or eligible), 8+ years litigation experience
Substantial commercial litigation background with trial experience (bench/jury)
Excellent writing, advocacy, and client relationship skills
Strong professional judgment and ability to manage complex matters independently
Highly Preferred:
Established book of business ($500K–$1M+ annual revenue)
Prior Partner/Of Counsel experience
Federal court litigation experience (E.D./W.D. Mich.)
Bar committee involvement, CLE presenter, or published author
