Job Description

Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal
Join a busy plaintiff personal injury practice where your experience and case management skills truly matter. This role is ideal for a paralegal who enjoys high-volume litigation, direct client interaction, and playing a key role in preparing cases for settlement, mediation, and trial.

Key Responsibilities
Manage a dedicated docket of personal injury files from intake through resolution, including communication with clients about treatment status and case progress.
Gather, review, and summarize medical records, bills, insurance documents, and other evidence needed to support liability and damages.
Draft and prepare legal documents, including complaints, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, settlement demands, and pre-trial materials.
Assist with case preparation for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials, including organizing exhibits, evidence, and witness files.
Maintain organized, up-to-date case files in both electronic and paper formats, ensuring deadlines and statute dates are tracked and met.
Communicate regularly with clients, medical providers, experts, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel to move cases forward.
Support attorneys during depositions, mediations, and court proceedings as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a strong focus on personal injury cases.
Working knowledge of personal injury terminology, medical records, insurance processes, and applicable court rules and procedures.
Excellent organization and follow-through, with proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience drafting litigation documents and professional correspondence.
Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software, as well as Microsoft Office.
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and a client-service mindset.

Education
Degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field preferred.
Paralegal certificate from an accredited program highly valued; substantial relevant experience will also be considered.
