Associate Attorney – No-Fault Defense (PIP/BI)
Location: Troy, MI (Primarily on-site, limited hybrid flexibility)

Join a fast-paced insurance defense firm representing national carriers in first- and third-party no-fault matters. This role is ideal for an associate who wants meaningful file responsibility, regular courtroom appearances, and hands-on trial experience early in their career.

The Opportunity
As an Associate Attorney, you will manage your own caseload of PIP and BI files while working closely with a supportive team lead. You will be in court often, sharpen your motion practice, and have direct input on case strategy through regular attorney roundtables and case meetings.

What You’ll Do
Handle a dedicated docket of no-fault defense files from inception through resolution.

Draft pleadings, motions, summary disposition briefs, and discovery responses.

Appear at case evaluations, motion hearings, and depositions.

Assist with trial preparation, including witness prep, exhibit organization, and trial strategy.

Collaborate with partners and fellow associates on litigation strategy and best practices.

What We’re Looking For
2+ years of Michigan no-fault/insurance defense litigation experience (PIP and/or BI).

Strong writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.

Comfortable managing deadlines and moving multiple files forward simultaneously.

Team-oriented mindset and willingness to collaborate in a busy, high-volume practice.

Compensation & Schedule
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience (target range: $85,000–$150,000) plus discretionary bonus opportunity.

Primarily in-office in Troy, MI; potential for 1 remote day per week for the right candidate.
