Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Malpractice Paralegal to join our legal team in Southfield, MI. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in medical malpractice litigation and possess strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with preparation and management of medical malpractice cases from inception through trial.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information.
  • Review and summarize medical records and other case-related documents.
  • Coordinate with medical experts and witnesses.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Prepare trial exhibits and assist with trial preparation.
  • Maintain case files and ensure all documentation is accurately filed and updated.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on medical malpractice.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
  • Proficient in legal research and writing.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Paralegal certification or degree in paralegal studies.
