Personal Injury Plaintiff Attorney
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Personal Injury Plaintiff Attorney to join our team in Southfield, MI. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury law, excellent negotiation and litigation skills, and a commitment to advocating for clients' rights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent plaintiffs in personal injury cases, including motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, medical malpractice, and other negligence claims.
- Conduct thorough case evaluations and investigations, including gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and reviewing medical records.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and settlement agreements.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
- Litigate cases in court, including jury trials and appeals, as necessary.
- Provide legal advice and counsel to clients throughout the legal process.
- Maintain detailed case files and documentation.
- Collaborate with legal support staff and other attorneys within the firm.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the state of Michigan.
- Proven experience in personal injury litigation and trial advocacy.
- Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
- Commitment to providing high-quality legal representation to clients.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Michigan personal injury laws and regulations.
- Experience with alternative dispute resolution methods.
- Proficiency in legal research software and case management systems.
