Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant with expertise in commercial litigation to join our team in Oakland County. The ideal candidate will have experience in both federal and state courts and a willingness to train in family law.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to attorneys in commercial litigation cases.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of legal documents in federal and state courts.
- Manage case files and ensure all documentation is organized and up-to-date.
- Conduct legal research and gather pertinent information for cases.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, court appearances, and depositions.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and court officials as needed.
- Train in family law under the guidance of experienced attorneys.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably in commercial litigation.
- Familiarity with federal and state court procedures.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
