Solid Rock Recruiting has partnered with a Commercial Contractor in Bozeman, MT seeking an experienced Project Manager /Estimator to join their team. This dual-role position will oversee multiple commercial construction projects in the Montana market and provide estimates on an as needed basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Project Managing commercial metal stud framing and drywall projects and estimating. The position will work very closely with our team to ensure successful project delivery from bid to closeout. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
This role is an on-site role in Bozeman, MT. We are open to applicants who are currently in Bozeman or those who need to relocate.
Project Manager Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all phases.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met.
- Prepare and review project proposals, contracts, and change orders.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor project expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare financial reports and forecasts for stakeholders.
On-Screen Takeoff:
- Utilize On-Screen Takeoff software for accurate material and labor estimations.
- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for project bidding.
- Review and analyze project plans and specifications.
Commercial Drywall and Metal-Stud Framing:
- Oversee all aspects of commercial drywall and metal-stud framing projects.
- Ensure adherence to project specifications and building codes.
- Manage subcontractors and ensure quality workmanship.
Construction Project Management:
- Lead project meetings and communicate effectively with all project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality.
Project Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the commercial drywall industry.
- Proven experience with commercial drywall and metal-stud framing projects.
- Proficiency in On-Screen Takeoff software.
- Strong knowledge of construction project management principles and practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).
