Solid Rock Recruiting has partnered with a Commercial Painting contractor seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial Painting Estimator to join our team in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial painting estimation and be proficient in On-Screen Takeoff and Quickbid software. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of the commercial painting industry, including materials, labor, and project timelines.

 Senior Estimator Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive painting estimates for commercial projects.
  • Utilize On-Screen Takeoff and Quickbid software to perform accurate and detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to obtain competitive pricing and ensure project requirements are met.
  • Prepare and present bid proposals to clients, including detailed cost breakdowns and scope of work.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure estimates are accurate and align with project goals and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust estimates as necessary to reflect changes in scope or materials.
  • Stay current with industry trends, new products, and best practices in commercial painting.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior estimators and other team members.

 Senior Estimator Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial painting estimation.
  • Proficiency in On-Screen Takeoff and Quickbid software is required.
  • Strong understanding of commercial painting materials, labor, and project timelines.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and other construction documents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
