Solid Rock Recruiting has partnered with a very well established commercial door contractor  seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Door Estimator to join our team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in doors, frames, and hardware, specifically in Division 8, and be proficient in using Comsense Software. The Commercial Door Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial door projects.

Commercial Door Estimator Responsibilities:

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial door projects.
• Utilize Comsense Software to input data, generate estimates, and manage project details.
• Collaborate with sales, project managers, and other team members to ensure accurate and timely estimates.
• Review and interpret architectural drawings and specifications related to doors, frames, and hardware.
• Perform material take-offs and identify necessary components for each project.
• Communicate with suppliers and vendors to obtain pricing and availability information.
• Prepare and submit bid proposals and follow up on submitted bids.
• Maintain accurate records of all estimates, proposals, and project documentation.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, pricing, and best practices related to commercial doors, frames, and hardware.
• Provide technical support and expertise to clients and internal teams as needed.

Commercial Door Estimator Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Commercial Door Estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of doors, frames, and hardware, specifically Division 8.
• Proficiency in using Comsense Software for estimating and project management.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Commercial Door Estimator Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working remotely and managing time effectively.
• Additional certifications or training in construction estimating or project management.
