Overview:
Solid Rock Recruiting has partnered with a legacy contractor seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Acoustical Ceilings Estimator to join our team in the San Francisco Bay Area. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of acoustical ceiling systems and proficiency in On-Screen Takeoff software. This individual will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for acoustical ceiling projects, ensuring successful project bids, and contributing to the growth and success of our company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for acoustical ceiling projects.
- Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and other documentation to understand the scope of work.
- Utilize On-Screen Takeoff software to perform digital quantity takeoffs.
- Analyze labor, material, and time requirements for each project.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accuracy and completeness of estimates.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.
- Maintain and update estimating databases and tools.
- Prepare and submit bid proposals in a timely manner.
- Monitor project costs and provide cost analysis and value engineering as needed.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and techniques.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating acoustical ceiling systems.
- Proficiency in On-Screen Takeoff software.
- Strong understanding of acoustical ceiling systems, materials, and installation methods.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
