Seeking Entry Level Estimator

Job Overview:

Solid Rock Recruiting LLC has partnered with a awesome contractor in Baltimore, Maryland who is seeking a Junior Construction Project Estimator. The Junior Construction Project Estimator is to collaborate with the project team, and the general contractors to provide accurate and profitable estimates on large size multifamily projects. The Junior Construction Project Estimator will read scopes, perform takeoffs, and write proposals using scopes, specifications, and plans.

Junior Construction Project Estimator Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret scopes of work, specifications, and plans to ensure out pricing meets the needs of the customer
• Assist in the negotiations of projects by using your knowledge of to come to a profitable agreement
• Use Bluebeam in conjunction with excel to provide takeoffs of constructions materials and labor
• Communicate with supplier to get accurate estimates of construction materials and labor
• Using Avaware to provide estimates on Hollow Metal Doors, Frames, and Hardware
• Use estimates to make proposals to present to customers
• Submittal RFIs to general contractor to ensure all questions have been answer for your proposal to meet scope.
• Participate in scope reviews and meetings to ensure proposal include all items need to complete a project.

Junior Construction Project Estimator Requirements:

• Experience within an Estimating role a Plus
• Will train--Door Estimating and Management Software
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Medium to High experience with Excel
• Ability to work independently
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Detail oriented
• Ability to meet deadlines

Junior Construction Project Estimator Preferred Requirements:

• Ability to read and decipher blueprints using blue beam
• Experience with using Procore or other online management tools to manage and complete jobs
• Knowledge of Door Estimating Software
• High experience with Excel
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
• At least 0-1+ years of experience in a project management field within construction

Job Type: Full-time, entry level
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
Bonuses based on job Performance.
