Seeking a top-level Estimator to add to our #1 Team

Solid Rock Recruiting, the #1 Specialty construction recruiter in the USA is partnered with the very best division 8 contractors in the USA. We are seeking an Estimator for one of these elite clients in Colorado.                                                                                     

The Estimator is a highly detailed individual who prepares budgets for our clients, making sure that the products quoted are a match for the products delivered. They work as a valued team member with our detailers and our project managers to get the job done right for our customers. 

Estimator Responsibilities

• Review incoming invitations to bid to determine validity and understand scope of work
• Review plan and specifications for product details to ensure proposed products meet architect and owner needs
• Performing take-offs of multiple hollow metal, wood, and other types of doors, frames, and hardware
• Use Pro-Tech V.8 software to build doors, frames and hardware
• Evaluate vendor quotes for the market being served to obtain accurate pricing on products
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers as well as architects both verbally and in writing
• Prepare cost analysis and estimates ensuring timely completion
• Review and evaluate cost estimates

Estimator Skills

• Strong understanding of construction processes 
• Possess physical and mental aptitudes and capabilities that will enable them to do the essential functions of the job.
• Possess ability to learn, problem-solve, independently assess situations, and respond appropriately and safely to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate, understand, give or follow written, verbal, or demonstrated instructions, write information, and request assistance.
• Ability to communicate well with all types of people – external and internal consumers of services.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
• Highly self-motivated
• Strong at building relationships
• Persistent, creative and detail oriented

• 3+ years' experience working in Division 8
• Strong tenure 
• Current or very recent employment with a division 8 subcontractor and strong knowledge of DFH and division 8
• Proficiency in Pro-Tech 8 or ability to learn
