Physical Therapist – Full-Time (Plant City, FL)
Pay: $80,000–$95,000 per year
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM–7:00 PM (Full-time, exempt)
Work Location: In person
Position Overview
The Physical Therapist provides high-quality, patient-centered care by evaluating, planning, and implementing physical therapy treatment programs. This role works collaboratively with physicians and other clinical staff, guides patients through individualized treatment plans, and ensures all care is delivered safely, effectively, and in accordance with professional standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to develop physical therapy treatment plans.
- Guide, instruct, and assist patients in exercises, therapeutic activities, ADLs, balance training, transfers, ambulation, and return-to-sport/work programs.
- Administer treatment modalities within the PT scope of practice, including exercises, therapeutic activities, and physical agents.
- Supervise and direct treatments performed by PTAs, technicians, and athletic trainers.
- Monitor and assess patient progress, adjusting plans as needed.
- Document patient care in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold safe, clean clinical environments.
- Follow infection-control standards and clinic safety procedures.
- Support staff development and conduct in-service training as needed.
- Stay informed of and comply with federal, state, and local regulations impacting PT practice.
- Contribute to team goals and assist with related tasks as necessary.
Requirements
Education & Licensure
- Master’s degree in Physical Therapy (required)
- Valid Florida Physical Therapy License (required)
- CPR/AED certification (required)
Experience
- 2+ years of physical therapy experience preferred
- 1+ year outpatient experience preferred

Work Environment

- Exposure to communicable diseases, biohazards, and other clinical conditions

Physical Demands
- Frequent standing and walking
- Regular bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and demonstrating exercises
- Occasional lifting/carrying of 5–30+ lbs
- Assisting patients with mobility, transfers, and equipment
- Ability to manage workload stress and multitasking demands
