Physical Therapist – Full-Time

Location: Apollo Beach, FL
Salary: $80,000–$95,000 per year
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 8:00 AM–7:00 PM
Status: Full-Time | Exempt

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Physical Therapist to join our growing outpatient team in Apollo Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based physical therapy services to help patients improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function. This position offers a four-day workweek and the opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team in a supportive clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide skilled physical therapy interventions, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, balance training, gait training, transfer training, ADL training, and return-to-work/sport programs.
  • Monitor patient progress, reassess outcomes, and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
  • Supervise and delegate appropriate patient care to Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), technicians, and athletic trainers.
  • Accurately document evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the EMR.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, home exercise programs, and injury prevention.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and all regulatory requirements.
  • Follow infection control, safety, and clinic policies.
  • Participate in staff meetings, continuing education, and in-service training.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support clinic operations.

Qualifications

Education & Licensure

  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Florida Physical Therapist License required.
    • Candidates licensed in another state who are eligible to transfer their PT license to Florida may be considered. License transfer assistance can be negotiated as part of the offer.
  • Current CPR/AED Certification.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of physical therapy experience preferred.
  • At least 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience preferred.

  • McKenzie Method
  • Graston Technique
  • Vestibular Rehabilitation
  • Other advanced orthopedic or specialty certifications

Work Environment

  • Outpatient clinical setting with a combination of treatment and administrative responsibilities.
  • Exposure to communicable diseases, biohazards, and standard clinical environments.
  • Regular use of EMR systems and rehabilitation equipment.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling.
  • Demonstrating therapeutic exercises and treatment techniques.
  • Assisting patients with transfers, mobility, and therapeutic activities.
  • Occasionally lifting or carrying 5–30+ pounds.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
