Order Entry Representative

Location: Buford, GA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Pay: $18 – $19.50 per hour
Parking: Available
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Order Entry Representative to join our team in Buford, Georgia. In this role, you’ll be responsible for accurately entering and processing commercial purchase orders while ensuring compliance with company standards. You’ll collaborate closely with the Order Entry Lead and Customer Care teams to ensure timely and accurate order flow.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Enter new purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Process commercial orders only.
  • Receive ongoing training from the Order Entry Lead and Senior Specialists.
  • Proof all orders until management determines independence.
  • Learn to navigate AS400 and other global systems.
  • Process XML, EDI, SIF, and PDF orders.
  • Coordinate with the Customer Care team to ensure specialty accounts are entered correctly.
  • Enter Parts-Express orders (with cost).
  • Work with the OE Lead to ensure all orders are proofed prior to release.
  • Initiate the Addendum Process and conduct final QA checks.
  • Release orders into production.
  • Cancel or revise purchase orders as needed prior to release.
  • Communicate with the Secondary Review Team (credit holds) and the Proforma Team (CIA/deposit).
  • File documents in accordance with local guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 months of related experience and/or training preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience, including military background).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to correspond clearly via email, fax, and phone.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical instructions and data.
  • Basic math skills for calculating figures such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
