Corporate Legal Assistant (In‐Office)
Location: Tampa, FL 33602
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM (7.5 hours/day)
Start Date: ASAP- Direct Placement
Pay Rate: $25–$35 / hour (Based on experience)

Parking: Yes (80% paid)

What You’ll Do

  • Calendar & Project Management

    • Proactively manage attorneys’ schedules, travel arrangements, and deadlines.

    • Track deliverables and conduct timely follow‐up on key tasks.

  • Document Preparation & Quality Control

    • Draft, edit, proofread, and finalize corporate and tax documents with precision.

    • Ensure consistency and accuracy across all work products.

  • File & Database Administration

    • Open new matters, perform client conflict checks, and maintain electronic filing systems.

    • Index and prepare files for off‐site storage when necessary.

  • Billing & Time Entry

    • Review and process attorney time entries in the firm’s web‐based system.

    • Handle monthly prebills, expense reports, check requests, and narrative edits.

  • Client Service & Confidentiality

    • Act as a primary point of contact for client inquiries with a service‐oriented mindset.

    • Uphold the highest level of confidentiality for all firm and client information.

Who You Are

  • Experienced: Minimum 3 years’ transactional experience in corporate law; prior corporate group background preferred.

  • Tech‐Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; familiar with document management and time‐entry systems.

  • Detail‐Oriented: Exceptional grammar, spelling, and proofreading skills; strong organizational and analytical abilities.

  • Adaptable: Flexible and able to manage shifting priorities in a fast‐paced environment.

  • Client‐Focused: Dedicated to delivering outstanding client service and building trust.

  • Preferred Qualifications: Billing experience (including e‐billing), law firm experience, BA/BS degree.
