General Facilities Maintenance
Temporary • Full-Time • 6-Month Contract
Location: Tampa, FL


About the Role
We’re seeking two General Facilities Maintenance professionals to join our team on a six-month, full-time contract. Reporting to the Director of Facilities, you’ll perform hands-on maintenance and construction projects that keep our campus running smoothly—and support an environment our guests and team can enjoy every day.


Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair systems in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting and carpentry

  • Complete and document work orders in a timely manner

  • Execute assigned maintenance and construction projects from start to finish

  • Inspect facilities and equipment; recommend repair or replacement needs

  • Provide general labor: dirt work, material handling, grease-trap and manhole work

  • Maintain clear, professional communication with team members and supervisors

  • Adhere to all safety standards, regulations and best practices


Qualifications

  • Apprentice/journeyman-level experience in one or more of these trades: HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting, plumbing

  • High school diploma or equivalent (or comparable training + experience)

  • Proficient with hand and power tools for general shop duties

  • Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks

  • Effective verbal and written communication

  • Solid understanding of occupational hazards and safety precautions

Preferred Skills

  • Welding, machining, concrete or rebar work

  • Structural-steel, instrumentation or mechanical-equipment background

  • Experience with pumps, automated systems or ride-maintenance


Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly

  • Comfort working in varied positions (bending, standing, walking)

  • Ability to navigate both paved and rough terrain

  • Willingness to work varied and extended shifts—including weekends, holidays and special events

  • Exposure to Florida’s heat, rain and occasional cool weather
