Job Description
As a Mold Maker II, you will play a critical role in manufacturing high-quality molds by programming, operating, and assembling precision tooling. You will collaborate with designers and engineers to ensure molds meet exact specifications while maintaining efficiency and quality standards. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and within a team to complete projects on time.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Create accurate cutter paths for all mold designs.
- Work with Designers and Project Managers to clarify requirements.
- Program and operate CNC machines.
- Set up and inspect machines and molds for quality.
- Assemble and finalize molds to meet specifications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and modify customer molds to exact specifications.
- Plan and execute machining operations efficiently.
- Read and interpret blueprints and CAD files.
- Verify dimensions using precision measurement tools.
- Operate all necessary tool room equipment.
- Provide input on design improvements.
- Install necessary electronics, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Train apprentices and share knowledge.
- Ensure mold builds are completed on time.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 5+ years of tool-making experience.
- Strong math, geometry, and machining knowledge.
- Proficiency in Master CAM programming.
- Able to operate all tool room equipment independently.
- Strong problem-solving and adaptability.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 60 lbs unassisted.
- Occasional walking, climbing, bending, and reaching.
