Job Title: Social Media Manager Intern
Location: Remote (Must reside in Pasco or Hernando County, Florida)
Rate of Pay: $15/hr | 90 hours
Requirement: Must be WIOA-approved through CareerSource Hernando/Pasco

Position Summary:

A highly motivated and creative Social Media Intern is needed to enhance an organization’s online presence and engage with its target audience. This role offers hands-on experience in content creation, social media management, and analytics.

Responsibilities:

Content Creation:

  • Research and develop engaging social media content, including text, images, and videos (using AI tools as needed).
  • Draft compelling social media posts for LinkedIn and Twitter.

Social Media Management:

  • Schedule and publish posts across designated platforms.
  • Monitor and engage with followers.
  • Respond to comments and direct messages professionally and in a timely manner.

Analytics & Reporting:

  • Track and analyze social media metrics (e.g., reach, engagement, website traffic) to measure campaign effectiveness.
  • Generate regular reports on social media performance.

Stay Updated:

  • Keep up with the latest social media trends, best practices, and industry news.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution in Pasco or Hernando County, Florida.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in using social media platforms (LinkedIn and Twitter).
  • Interest in social media marketing and digital communication.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn automation tools like Make.com and ChatGPT.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with social media scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer).
  • Basic understanding of social media analytics.
