Location: Fort Myers, FL
HOURS: Mon-Fri (Occasional Saturdays)
6 am-2: 30 pm (1st shift)
3: 30 pm-12 am (2nd shift)

We are looking for Candidates interested in joining our team at the Recycling Facility. We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and load trucks. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety guidelines, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials.
  • Conduct daily forklift maintenance checks and report any issues.
  • Ensure compliance with company and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Assist with inventory management by tracking product movement.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Follow proper procedures for handling and storing goods.
  • Work environment - airborne dust and dirt particles, along with various climatic temperatures.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid forklift operator certification/license.
  • Proven experience as a forklift operator or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge and ability to work safely in a team environment.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Hearing and Visual ability.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in airborne dust and dirt particles, with various climatic temperatures.
  • Must wear Employer-provided personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials.
  • Must wear 6" high steel/composite toe boots.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Ability to accurately gauge lengths of time and distance.
  • Possess fast reflexes and unimpaired coordination.
  • Ability to perform tasks involving high levels of cognitive function and judgment.
  • Ability to work overtime and some weekends when required.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
