Medical Assistant

Hourly Rate: $15-16 per hour (DOE)
Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time
Location: Land O Lakes and Spring Hill

Job Overview:

We’re seeking a friendly, bubbly, and professional Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This position requires flexibility to work at either our Spring Hill or Land O’ Lakes location. Experience with children is a plus, as we primarily serve pediatric patients. Familiarity with Florida Shots is also a plus. In this role, you’ll greet patients, schedule appointments, answer calls, and support the medical staff while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and check-in patients, ensuring all paperwork is completed with a warm and friendly approach.
• Room patients and prepare charts for the next day’s appointments.
• Answer calls, schedule appointments, and verify insurance information.
• Collect test samples and manage results.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
• Process payments and assist with office tasks such as filing and mail.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical administration a plus.
• Experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred.
• Experience with children is a plus.
• Familiarity with Florida Shots is a plus.
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• A bubbly, professional personality is essential to create a welcoming environment.
