Location: Lakeland, FL
Pay Rate: $18/hour

We are seeking an experienced Make Ready/Rehab Technician to join our team. In this essential role, you will ensure our apartment units meet the highest quality standards before tenants move in. We are committed to the growth and development of our staff, offering a robust training program designed to foster leadership skills.

Daily Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Resident Service Director and team to prepare apartment units for occupancy.
• Perform maintenance and renovation tasks with at least 1 year of experience in an Apartment Community setting.
• Apply expertise in electrical and plumbing to address issues and make necessary repairs.
• Utilize light construction skills, such as drywall installation/repair and installing exterior fixtures and finishes.
• Install interior items, including fans, blinds, and other renovation features.
• Conduct light painting to ensure a quality finish for units.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with residents, associates, vendors, and supervisors.
• Use HVAC certification to perform HVAC-related tasks as needed.
• Complete Work Order assignments and other tasks as required to support community needs.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in an Apartment Community setting.
• Strong expertise in electrical and plumbing work.
• Proficiency in light construction tasks, including drywall installation/repair.
• Experience installing exterior and interior fixtures (e.g., fans, blinds).
• Basic painting skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• HVAC certification required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Bilingual candidates are a plus.
