Accounting Manager
Full-Time On-site | Jackson, GA
Salary: $100,00-$120,000

Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead a small accounting team and oversee all day-to-day accounting operations.
- Oversee the weekly billing process.
- Support collections by providing managers with timely reports and sending reminders to customers.
- Oversee payables, reimbursable expenses, and credit card payments.
- Oversee sales tax calculations and remittance.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Reconcile bank statements to the general ledger.
- Manage fixed assets maintenance and depreciation entries.
- Handle prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, and client deposit maintenance and journal entries.
- Ensure the timely monthly close of financial statements.
- Communicate effectively with the Controller regarding P&L status and bank reporting.
- Prepare audit schedules and complete other projects assigned by the Controller.
- Supervise, coach, and mentor junior accounting staff.
- Provide guidance and support to the team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Conduct performance reviews and support professional development.
- Complete month and end-year processes.
- Manage the full-cycle accounting process, including month-end and year-end close.
- Ensure the accuracy of financial statements and compliance with GAAP.
- Provide valuable financial analysis to support strategic business decisions.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
- 6 Years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 1 year in managerial or supervisory role.
- Proven experience in managing a full cycle accounting cycle
- Strong working knowledge of Peachtree/Sage and Microsoft Excel preferred
- Must be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- A CPA license is preferred.
