Location: Dunwoody, GA - 100% on-site position
Work Schedule: Mon - Thur, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Position Summary:

The Director of Finance will steward FBA’s resources, providing oversight in budgeting, reporting, compliance, and long-term planning. This role approaches all financial work as ministry, equipping the body of Christ to serve more effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial reporting, operations, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Supervise a team of four direct reports (Senior Accountant, Staff Accountant, Supervisor of Cash Receipts, Payroll Specialist).
• Provide financial analysis and strategic advice to senior leadership.
• Manage the annual budgeting process and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate and manage external audit processes.
• Translate financial data into actionable insights for non-financial leaders.
• Ensure compliance with privacy and data protection regulations.
• Model biblical stewardship through personal tithing and active participation in the church’s spiritual life.

Required Candidate Qualifications:

• Growing and mature personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Alignment with FBA’s beliefs, values, and mission.
• Active membership at FBA or willingness to become a member within three months.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance (CPA/MBA strongly preferred).
• 7+ years of progressive financial management experience, with some of those years preferably in nonprofit/ministry.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit financial practices.
• Proficiency in financial systems, budgeting, donor management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Additional Details:

• 100% on-site position, four days a week, M-TH 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM 
• Salary of $115,000 - $130,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
