Our client,  Eye Consultants of Atlanta is adding a Director of Human Resources in Atlanta to take their HR initiatives to new heights! ​ This position will play a pivotal role in shaping HR practices and driving organizational success by maximizing the effectiveness of the HRIS, optimizing recruitment, fostering strong relationships, and ensuring seamless operations.  This role demands a strategic mindset while maintaining a hands-on approach to HR leadership.

JOB DUTIES

  • Execute strategic guidance to the executive team, partners, and managers, providing assessments and actionable recommendations.
  • Oversee the full-cycle recruitment process, ensuring they attract and retain top talent. ​
  • Oversee employee relations, enhance the handbook, refine performance evaluations, and ensure competitive compensation.
  • Assess current HR systems and processes for potential improvements, prioritizing immediate gains before major changes.
  • Facilitate orientation and training for new hires, ensuring a smooth onboarding process. ​
  • Lead open enrollment, process enrollments, and assist employees with benefits-related questions. ​
  • Create, review, and update company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and best practices. ​
  • Stay ahead of legal requirements and labor regulations.
  • Provide guidance and coaching, resolve grievances, and handle disciplinary issues with a fair and legal approach. ​​
  • Develop and manage the performance evaluation process, ensuring consistency and minimizing risk. ​
  • Additional responsibilities as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Undergraduate degree in HR or related field, PHR or SHRM-CP certification required. ​
  • Minimum of 5 years in an HR senior management role, with experience in HRIS databases. ​
  • Proficiency in MS Office, strong written and verbal communication, excellent interpersonal skills, and a client-focused attitude. ​
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, able to prioritize multiple projects, and committed to confidentiality and diversity. ​
  • Healthcare background is desirable but not required. ​
