Job Description
Our client,
a private school in Buckhead, is looking for an
Interim HR Director to support their faculty and leadership while a search for their new full-time director is underway. They expect to need you for the next 60-90 days. The school will be closed the week of Christmas and also on January 1st.
In this role, you will provide leadership and guidance to their 5-person HR team and will also serve as the primary go-to HR resource for any questions and needs from the CFO and Head of School.
Candidates with significant management experience and strong general HR knowledge are preferred. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee a team of 5 HR employees (recruitment, benefits, substitute management, HRIS/payroll support, admin support)
- Support the leadership team in working through employee issues
- Oversee all hiring, terms, leaves of absence, performance discussions, and other typical HR processes with a strong focus on compliance
- Ensure health benefits are ready for 1/1/2025 start (already through enrollment – system piece remains which is done via a third party)
- Support bi-weekly payroll from the HR side (business office processes payroll); UKG/TIAA are the key vendors
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 3 years experience as an HR Director with direct reports
- Previous experience in HR in a school or nonprofit organization is a plus
- Strong broad HR knowledge, especially with regard to compliance
- Willing to make a commitment to this short-term position
- Professional attitude and attire
- Polished verbal and written communicator
Pay will be $45-55 per hour, depending on experience.
