Accountant Overview
Our innovative manufacturing client is looking for a dynamic, communicative, and attentive accountant with current and/or prior manufacturing accounting.
Prepare company balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports and forecasts for presentation to management team.
Possess a firm grasp of accounting and financial practices and regulations; outstanding computer, verbal, and written communication skills are a must.
Ability to work under pressure and within deadlines.
Work under general supervision, able to communicate complex quantitative data, and exhibit strong self-motivational and management skills.Dedicated with a positive work attitude and willing to be part of a team.Detail-oriented, professional, and analytical.
Deep understanding of Product Cost accounting practices, ensuring all accounting transactions comply with the law and support our company’s vision.

Responsibilities
• Manage staff in the following departments: Accounts Payable and Receiving Process; Product Cost; and Inventory Valuations
• Prepare standard, monthly close journal entries, account analysis and reconciliations, and support schedules
• Monitor and report accounting discrepancies, monitor financial trends, and perform risk analyses
• Work with management team to prepare for year-end audit conducted by outside accounting firm
• Strong grasp of inventory management, variance analysis, customer pricing models and BOM
• Interact with external vendors and internal stakeholders
• Oversee 3rd party information requests, and special projects as needed
• Monitor and gather financial data including and not limited to sales and use tax reporting
• Report preparation and presentation to management team involving complex quantitative data

Requirements
• BS or BA in Accounting
• SAGE 300 experience is preferred, similar ERP system experience and understanding is required
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite Office products
• Established work experience in manufacturing, production, and/or industrial accounting
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
