Key Responsibilities:
•Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in students.
•Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to address students’ speech and language needs.
•Plan and deliver therapy sessions tailored to individual student goals, interests, and abilities.
•Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student communication and learning.
•Monitor and document student progress, updating IEP goals as needed.
•Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for communication strategies and interventions.
•Provide training and consultation to staff and families on effective communication strategies.
•Select and manage appropriate therapy materials, tools, and equipment while maintaining inventory records.
•Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations governing speech therapy in schools.
Qualifications:
Required:
•Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
•Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in Speech-Language Pathology.
•Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred but not required.
•Open to new graduates completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
