Job Description
Job Summary:The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential care and support to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). CNAs assist with daily living activities, ensuring the comfort, safety, and dignity of patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Monitor and report changes in patients’ physical or emotional conditions to nursing staff.
- Provide basic patient mobility assistance, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient rooms and care areas.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
- Comply with infection control and safety protocols.
- Provide compassionate and respectful interaction with patients and families.
Qualifications:
- Current CNA certification
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting (preferred).
