Job Description

Job Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential care and support to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). CNAs assist with daily living activities, ensuring the comfort, safety, and dignity of patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting.
  • Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
  • Monitor and report changes in patients’ physical or emotional conditions to nursing staff.
  • Provide basic patient mobility assistance, including turning, repositioning, and transferring patients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient rooms and care areas.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
  • Comply with infection control and safety protocols.
  • Provide compassionate and respectful interaction with patients and families.

Qualifications:
  • Current CNA certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification (preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Physical ability to lift, transfer, and assist patients.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting (preferred).
