Summary

 

The therapist will deliver individual and group therapy to adults, utilizing evidence-based practices for addiction, substance use disorders, mental health diagnoses, and other areas as dictated by program needs. Responsibilities include conducting initial assessments, developing treatment plans, providing individual and group counseling, and collaborating with program support staff to identify and secure additional services and resources for clients.

 

Essential Duties and Functions

 

Therapy:

 

  • Conduct intake assessments with recommendations for treatment.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapies to individuals with mental health and substance abuse challenges.

 

Caseload Management:

 

  • Maintain an active caseload, ensuring ongoing engagement in treatment.
  • Track and manage treatment plans and required documentation to meet program funding guidelines and objectives.
  • Participate in clinical group meetings to discuss treatment goals, progress, and discharge planning as needed.

 

Administrative:

 

  • Document all therapy sessions and related activities in electronic medical records in compliance with agency guidelines.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Master’s degree in a human services field from an accredited institution (transcripts required for verification).
  • At least two years of experience providing direct therapy for mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Proficiency in standard business software and electronic healthcare databases.
