The Heavy Equipment & Diesel Mechanic will perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on company trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical intuition, attention to detail, and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel trucks, trailers, compressors, generators, and heavy equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and ensure accurate service documentation.
- Support field technicians with on-site repair needs and equipment setup.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
- Operate forklifts, hoists, and shop equipment safely and efficiently.
- Complete DOT inspections and ensure all fleet vehicles are compliant and field-ready.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and communicate repair status with management.
- Ensure full compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a diesel, heavy equipment, or industrial mechanic.
- Proficiency in diagnostics, electrical systems, hydraulics, and mechanical repairs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured maintenance procedures.
- Commitment to safety, teamwork, and accountability.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Preferred
- Class A or B CDL (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
- Experience in construction, industrial, or oilfield environments.
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- ASE or equivalent industry certifications.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Capable of operating vehicles, lifts, and heavy equipment safely.
