Shop Mechanic (Preferred CDL)

We’re seeking a Shop Mechanic who values structure, craftsmanship, and consistency—someone who takes pride in doing the job right the first time and maintaining high standards in every repair.

What You’ll Do

• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on company vehicles, trailers, compressors, and other field equipment.
• Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure all equipment meets Alpha’s quality and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain organized shop areas, parts inventory, and accurate maintenance records.
• Support field technicians with repair and troubleshooting needs.
• Operate forklifts, hoists, and other shop machinery safely and efficiently.
• Complete DOT inspections and prepare vehicles for deployment.
• Adhere to all company and OSHA safety policies.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience as a mechanic or maintenance technician (diesel, hydraulic, or industrial preferred).
• Strong technical skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to read and follow manuals, schematics, and repair documentation.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Preferred: Class A or B CDL (or willingness to obtain).
• Bonus: Welding or fabrication experience; ASE or equivalent certifications.
