What You’ll Do
· Financial Reporting: Prepare, review, and ensure the accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheets, P&L, cash flow).
· Account Reconciliations: Oversee and perform reconciliations for key accounts including banks, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
· Month-End & Year-End Close: Manage closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
· General Ledger Management: Maintain a clean, accurate ledger aligned with GAAP.
· Financial Analysis: Provide data-driven insights into cost drivers, revenue recognition, and expense trends.
· Budgeting & Forecasting: Partner with the CFO on budgets and financial projections.
· Audit & Compliance: Support external reviews, tax filings (state & local, non-income tax), and maintain internal controls.
· ERP Management: Develop working knowledge of Sage ERP modules to improve cross-departmental accuracy (Sales, Ops, Admin).
· Team Leadership: Mentor junior staff, act as a backup for Payroll, A/P, and A/R, and collaborate with the Accounting Supervisor.
· Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting operations and improve efficiency.
· Employee Benefits Oversight: Partner with HR to support accurate benefits administration.
What You Bring
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA a plus).
· Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
· Technical Skills: Proficiency with Sage (or similar ERP), advanced Excel, and financial reporting tools.
· Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP and financial compliance.
· Mindset:

o Comfortable managing multiple deadlines while maintaining precision.
· Communication: Ability to clearly present financial data to leadership.
