Electrical Journeyman, Gonzales, Texas

Job Summary:

Alpha Energy Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced and skilled Electrical Journeyman to join our team in Gonzales, Texas. The Electrical Journeyman will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment. This role requires a thorough knowledge of electrical systems and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installations of electrical systems, including wiring, conduit, lighting, and electrical panels, in accordance with project specifications, blueprints, and local codes.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment, ensuring all work is performed to code and in a safe, efficient manner.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensuring a safe work environment for all team members.
• Plan and execute assigned projects, coordinating with other trades and team members to ensure timely and efficient completion.
• Accurately complete and submit necessary documentation, including work orders, time sheets, and material requisitions.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and less experienced electricians, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Ensure that all electrical work complies with national, state, and local electrical codes and regulations.
• Manage and organize materials, tools, and equipment on the job site to maintain an efficient workflow.
• Communicate effectively with clients and customers, addressing their needs and concerns in a professional manner.

Working Conditions:

• Ability to work in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, and under varying weather conditions.
• The role may involve working at heights, in confined spaces, and exposure to electrical hazards.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts as required to meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program is required.
• Minimum of 4-5 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician
• A valid Journeyman Electrician license in the state of Texas is required. A valid driver’s license is also required.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
• Proficiency in using electrical tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, work at heights, and perform tasks requiring physical exertion.
