Key Responsibilities:
  • Making sure that all construction activities are performed in a timely and cost-efficient basis to effectively meet all scheduled due dates and job estimates regarding materials and labor.
  • Coordinate all job-related activities to maintain a safe and productive environment for all on-site personnel.
  • Maintain tight controls on all labor and material needs to ensure operational efficiencies and overall budgetary controls.
  • Willingness and ability to travel and visit project wherever the project is located at least once every week.
  • Coordinate project turn over meeting with estimating, PM/Estimator and checklist signoff.
  • Produce a comprehensive project schedule including revisions. Provide weekly status reports; and be prepared to discuss if on schedule or behind. If behind schedule, have a plan to mitigate.
  • Complete a project execution plan prior to starting the project. Update monthly or as necessary.
  • Process submittals to meet DB standards / Owner contract requirements including sign off by DB PM and approved by Architect, Engineer or Owner prior to procurement or performance of the work.
  • Complete project flash reports prior to Monday status meetings.
  • Ensure Site Managers provide daily reports for the VP of Operations and others as directed.
  • Prior to the start of construction for each job, review and ensure that files for all appropriate information, tools, equipment, materials, etc. are available and maintained.
  • Responsible for the highest level of quality of construction at all times.
  • Ensure all projects are performed in a quality manner as per the drawings, specifications, addendums and scope of work.
  • Update project financials monthly.
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews of team members reporting directly to them.
  • Other duties that may be assigned by the VP of Operations.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of project management experience in the construction industry. Tilt-up experience required.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills. Proficiency in project management software.
  • Analytical Mindset: You excel at breaking down complex problems and finding innovative solutions.
  • Detail-Oriented: You have a keen eye for detail and ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
  • Strategic Thinker: You can see the big picture and align project goals with company objectives.
  • Effective Communicator: You can convey ideas clearly and build consensus among team members and clients.
  • Proactive Leader: You take initiative and lead by example, inspiring your team to achieve their best.
Physical Requirements:
Employees must be able to function well with regard to the following:
  • Uncontrolled environmental conditions.
  • Constant change in weather and site conditions.
  • Occasionally lifting up to 75 lbs., routinely lifting 50 lbs.
  • Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, seeing and reading and reaching to perform everyday job tasks.
Travel is required, but in most cases does not involve overnight stays.
