Job Description
Business Development Representative
Austin, TX | On-site, 5 days a week | Full-time
Why This Role Stands Out
- Uncapped commission on recurring revenue. You earn on every reorder from the accounts you land, so your book keeps paying you
- Equity in an early-stage company
- Ground-floor opportunity. Join as one of the first sales hires and work directly with the founders
- AI tools built for you. Sit next to the engineers building your prospecting platform and shape it with your feedback every day
- Brands people love. Represent a portfolio of recognizable food, beverage, and consumer brands, not a generic software product
- Strong benefits. Medical, dental, vision, PTO, wellness and commuting benefits, plus lunch and dinner provided
What You'll Do
- Own a set of brand accounts from first outreach to repeat orders
- Build targeted retailer lists for each brand using an AI prospecting platform
- Cold call and email buyers and owners at independent grocery stores, cafes, and coffee shops
- Send samples and follow up until the first purchase order closes
- Manage accounts after the sale: check in, drive reorders, and share retailer feedback with brands
- Spend 10 to 15 minutes a day giving feedback to the engineers who build the platform
What You Bring
- Sales experience of any kind (SDR, BDR, AE, or brand/broker sales)
- 0 to 3 years of experience (more considered for CPG broker backgrounds)
- Comfort with cold outreach and the resilience to handle rejection
- Curiosity about AI and eagerness to adopt new tools
- Based in Austin and excited to work on-site 5 days a week
- Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
- Closing experience is not required
Bonus Points
- Experience at a CPG broker or a food, beverage, beauty, apparel, or wellness brand
- Time in a high-performing tech SDR program
- Bachelor's degree
The Process
A fast, founder-led process: two short conversations with the founding team, followed by a paid on-site day in Austin.
