Compensation: $130,000 – $140,000 base salary
High Sierra Talent is hiring a Senior Identity and Security Engineer to take ownership of enterprise security across identity, endpoint, network, and application domains. This is a highly hands-on role focused on designing, implementing, and improving security controls within a complex enterprise environment.
This position is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a technical, fast-paced setting and enjoys building and optimizing security systems end to end. You will partner closely with infrastructure, networking, and development teams to strengthen overall security posture and drive continuous improvement.
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise security solutions across identity, endpoint, and network environments
Own identity and access management systems including governance, privileged access, and authentication controls
Engineer and support endpoint security solutions including device management, threat detection, and system hardening
Build and optimize privileged access management solutions, including account onboarding, session monitoring, and system integrations
Develop and manage certificate and key infrastructure, including lifecycle automation and secure deployment across systems
Configure and support network security platforms such as load balancing, web application protection, and secure access controls
Lead incident response efforts including threat detection, investigation, containment, and remediation
Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term security improvements
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into infrastructure and application environments
Support audits and align systems with established security frameworks and best practices
7+ years of experience in cybersecurity or security engineering roles
Strong hands-on experience across identity, endpoint, and infrastructure security
Deep expertise in identity governance, access control, and privileged access management
Experience engineering endpoint protection, device compliance, and system hardening
Strong knowledge of enterprise networking concepts including segmentation, firewalls, and load balancing
Experience designing and managing certificate and encryption systems
Proven ability to lead incident response and security investigations
Strong understanding of authentication protocols, directory services, and enterprise identity architecture
Experience working in Windows-based enterprise environments
Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and drive technical solutions
Experience with security monitoring and analytics platforms
Scripting experience for automation and system management
Exposure to virtualized environments and infrastructure platforms
Familiarity with secure application development and API security
Experience working in environments aligned with common security frameworks and standards
