The Role: Technical Integrator – Aerospace & Defense

Location: Wichita, Kansas

Type: Permanent

What You’ll Do: 

Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Integrator to provide technical leadership and integration across complex aerospace and defense programs.

This position will serve as a principal technical focal point across engineering disciplines, work packages, suppliers, program leadership, and Integrated Product Development Teams (IPDTs). The Technical Integrator will be responsible for maintaining technical integrity throughout the program lifecycle while ensuring aircraft-level solutions meet customer requirements, certification and airworthiness expectations, performance objectives, schedule commitments, and cost targets.

The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in aircraft design, systems integration, certification, flight test, defense modifications, or complex aircraft development programs, combined with demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution of assigned aerospace and defense programs and serve as the principal technical integrator across work packages, engineering disciplines, suppliers, and IPDTs.
• Maintain technical integrity of engineering proposals, aircraft/platform architecture, design solutions, and key technical decisions throughout the program lifecycle.
• Establish, develop, validate, and maintain project-level technical requirements, including Technical Requirements Documents (TRDs) and aircraft-level technical definition documentation.
• Translate customer, program, and business needs into clear and achievable engineering and technical requirements.
• Validate proposed engineering solutions for technical feasibility, supportability, integration, performance, and compliance.
• Provide technical oversight and leadership for major program gate reviews and technical maturity activities, including:
• System Requirements Review (SRR)
• Preliminary Design Review (PDR)
• Critical Design Review (CDR)
• Test Readiness Reviews
