Our Client is seeking a DIRECTOR of AI and INTERIOR DESIGN to support high-end residential redevelopment projects in the Palisades and Malibu markets. This role combines traditional interior design leadership with advanced AI tools to enhance speed, visualization quality, personalization, and overall design efficiency.

Position Summary

Our Client is seeking a DIRECTOR of AI and INTERIOR DESIGN to support high-end residential redevelopment projects in the Palisades and Malibu markets. This role combines traditional interior design leadership with advanced AI tools to enhance speed, visualization quality, personalization, and overall design efficiency.

The position is responsible for managing interior design from concept through construction documentation, while leveraging generative AI platforms to improve iteration cycles, visualization, and data-informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

AI Integration and Workflow Development
Lead implementation of AI-driven visualization and generative design tools within the design process.
Utilize platforms such as Architectgpt.io, Programa.design, Pinterest and related tools to generate mood boards, renderings, and design iterations. Establish best practices for integrating AI outputs into technically accurate and buildable design documentation.
Continuously evaluate emerging AI platforms to improve efficiency and design quality.

Design and Project Execution
Develop interior design concepts aligned with high-end residential standards and client expectations.
Produce AI-assisted photorealistic renderings, material studies, spatial layouts, and 3D walkthroughs.
Manage interior scope from schematic design through sourcing, construction documentation and installation.
Coordinate with architecture, consultants, and construction teams to ensure design intent is executed accurately.

Data-Driven Design and Optimization
Use AI tools to analyze spatial efficiency, lighting optimization, material performance, sustainability metrics, and budget constraints.
Generate multiple design options quickly to support informed decision-making.
Leverage AI to personalize design solutions based on client preferences and lifestyle requirements.

Team and Client Leadership
Train and mentor internal team members on AI-assisted workflows.
Present AI-driven design concepts clearly and professionally to clients.
Collaborate with vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
Maintain alignment with brand standards and overall development vision.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
3+ years of interior design experience, preferably within luxury residential development.
Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted design workflows.
Proficiency with tools such Architectgpt.io, Programa.design, Pinterest similar platforms.
Strong working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Solid understanding of spatial planning, lighting design, materials, sourcing, purchasing and FF&E.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
