Account Manager (Chemicals) | Southeast U.S.

GRS Recruiting has partnered with a National Specialty Chemical Provider that is seeking an Account Manager to support and grow business across the Southeast U.S. This is a customer-facing role focused on consultative selling, territory ownership, and long-term relationship development with end users.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage and grow an established customer base while identifying and developing new business opportunities

  • Take full ownership of the territory strategy, including account planning, pipeline development, and execution

  • Build trusted relationships with end users through consultative, solution-oriented selling

  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver strong service, technical support, and responsiveness

  • Travel regularly throughout the territory, including overnight trips as needed

Requirements

  • Comfortable working in specialty chemicals and a technical, solutions-based sales environment

  • Proven consultative selling background with a strong customer-focused approach

  • Demonstrated success in territory growth, including managing existing accounts and winning new customers

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with a professional, confident presence

  • Experience selling directly to end users, not solely through distribution channels

  • Willingness to travel regularly, including overnight travel within the region
