Sales Manager (Fluid Power) - Carolinas

GRS Recruiting has partnered with a well-established regional hydraulic and pneumatic powerhouse to hire a Sales Manager based in the Carolinas. This role supports territory managers through joint calls, technical coaching, and project/commercial guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ride along with territory managers for customer calls and opportunity development

  • Interface with manufacturers and attend manufacturer meetings with leadership

  • Provide technical mentoring, including circuit design support and system specification guidance

  • Keep projects moving by helping reps stay focused and addressing commercial challenges

  • Travel is regional and limited: approximately 20–25% with minimal overnight travel

Requirements

  • Fluid power background preferred (hydraulics, pneumatics, and/or automation)

  • Strong technical capability to support circuit design and application work

  • Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring technical salespeople

  • Mechanical aptitude and curiosity about how systems work

  • Strong follow-through to drive project completion and execution
