Are you a pump applications expert with a passion for solving complex challenges in rugged environments? A growing leader in the rotating equipment industry is looking for an experienced Applications Engineer to support technical sales efforts and deliver high-performance solutions across Washington, Oregon, and Montana.
As the Applications Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in the technical sales process—partnering with Territory Managers, assessing customer needs, and designing pump solutions for some of the toughest operating environments around. You’ll use your deep knowledge of centrifugal and positive displacement (PD) pumps to address application challenges in industries where reliability and durability are non-negotiable.
This role offers flexibility on location, allowing you to be based anywhere in WA, OR, or MT while staying closely connected with customers and internal teams.
5+ years of experience in pump applications engineering, preferably with exposure to both centrifugal and PD pumps
Preferred (but not required) Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
Background in pumps used in demanding, harsh industrial environments
Strong understanding of system design, sizing, materials compatibility, and field conditions
Ability to work closely with sales, service, and customers to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
