Are you an experienced mechanical engineer who thrives on complex, hands-on projects from concept to completion? This is an opportunity to bring your design expertise and problem-solving skills to an organization that tackles the kind of engineering challenges most others walk away from. If you're energized by designing advanced pressure vessels and heat exchangers, and want to work with a team that values grit, curiosity, and ingenuity — we want to hear from you.
Design, analyze, and troubleshoot pressure vessels and heat exchangers using ASME, TEMA, and API 660 standards.
Perform thermal and mechanical evaluations with tools like Compress, PV Elite, and HTRI; Solidworks 3D modeling is a plus.
Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to ensure equipment is delivered on time, within budget, and to spec.
Support equipment lifecycle: from design and fabrication through testing, operation, and maintenance documentation.
Engage directly with fabrication teams — welding, machining, inspection — to ensure designs are practical and optimized for manufacturing.
Assist in sourcing specialty materials (SST, Titanium, Duplex, Nickel alloys) and participate in value engineering.
Travel to offshore or international sites as needed; troubleshoot issues and coordinate resolutions in real time.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to ongoing process improvements across engineering functions.
Minimum 5 years of experience designing and engineering PVHEX systems.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Expert-level knowledge of industry codes and tools (ASME, PV Elite, HTRI).
Strong understanding of seismic loading, FEA, CFD, and thermal analysis is a plus.
Familiarity with fabrication processes and material supply chains for exotic alloys.
Proficiency in mechanical drawings and document control systems (PDM, ERP).
Ability to work both independently and in high-performing teams, with strong communication skills.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Texas P.E. license preferred (or willingness to work under a licensed P.E.).
Join a growth-oriented company with an entrepreneurial spirit and strong, boots-on-the-ground culture.
Work with a team that values flexibility, authenticity, and hands-on problem solving.
Tackle projects that are technically challenging, unique, and highly visible.
Be part of a collaborative engineering group where your voice and expertise truly matter.
