Controls Engineer – ABB DCS/SCADA | Mid-Atlantic Region

GRS has partnered with a Process Control System Integrator & Supplier in the Mid-Atlantic region to identify a highly skilled Controls Engineer ready to shape the future of process automation. This is a unique opportunity to step into a hands-on, high-impact role with long-term growth potential.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, program, and implement process automation solutions using ABB Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and SCADA platforms.

• Support clients in fluid handling environments by integrating pumps, valves, and related process equipment into intelligent control systems.

• Work collaboratively with internal teams and customers to tailor control solutions that meet project requirements and regulatory standards.

• Navigate vendor-based software platforms and apply your working knowledge of NEC regulations and UL standards.

• Provide end-to-end support from system specification and design to startup and troubleshooting.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program preferred.

• 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience in process control or system integration.

• Proven ability to program ABB DCS & SCADA systems.

• Familiarity with fluid process systems and mechanical components like pumps and valves.

• Proficiency with vendor software tools and strong general computer skills.

• Commitment to quality, safety, and compliance with electrical codes and standards.
