GRS Recruiting has partnered with a respected family-owned motion control manufacturer to find a driven Regional Sales Engineer to grow their presence in the greater Chicago area. Drive new business development across the region, with a strong focus on hunting and building new customer relationships.
Sell technically complex solutions — primarily custom motion control systems and power transmission components.
Act as a trusted technical advisor, collaborating with engineering and product teams to develop tailored solutions for each client.
Manage your territory autonomously, while working closely with a collaborative national team.
Travel as needed (30–40%) to meet with clients and partners.
Experience in motion control sales is highly preferred; related experience in gearboxes or power transmission also considered.
Strong technical aptitude — engineering degree preferred.
Hunter mentality: you’re proactive, persistent, and self-motivated.
Comfortable wearing multiple hats and stepping into different roles when needed.
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work independently while thriving in a team-first culture.
