General Manager – Waterloo Turf
Location: East  Dallas

Overview
Waterloo Turf is a rapidly growing brand redefining the customer experience in turf installation. We are looking for a General Manager to launch and lead our new location, with a primary focus on sales performance, project execution, and day-to-day operations. This is a high-ownership role ideal for someone who can drive growth through hands-on selling, meticulous oversight of installs, and strong accountability across every phase of the business. You’ll begin by running the full sales and operations cycle yourself—then build a lean team as the business scales.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Business Growth

  • Lead all sales activities: conduct on-site consultations, deliver quotes, and close deals

  • Develop local business through self-generated leads and referral partnerships (landscapers, pool companies, builders, realtors, etc.)

  • Represent the brand in the field with professionalism, clarity, and follow-through

  • Track and report sales KPIs (close rate, average ticket, conversion times) and drive consistent performance

Operational Oversight

  • Oversee project execution to ensure installs are completed on time, on budget, and meet quality standards

  • Use internal systems (Jobber, etc.) to manage scheduling, customer communication, and job tracking

  • Monitor key operational metrics including install timelines, crew performance, margin, and client satisfaction

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism across job sites, vehicles, and equipment

  • Manage relationships with subcontracted installation crews; ensure work quality, availability, and alignment with brand expectations

Team Development (as the business grows)

  • Hire and onboard Turf Pros and support staff to meet growing demand

  • Set expectations and train team members in line with Waterloo Turf’s standards and systems

  • Foster a team culture rooted in accountability, clarity, and pride in delivering great customer outcomes

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary + performance-based commission

  • On-target earnings range: $100,000–$140,000 annually

  • Company truck provided

Who This Role Is For

  • A high-performing operator who excels at driving sales and executing at a high standard

  • Someone comfortable wearing multiple hats—selling, managing projects, handling client relationships, and making day-to-day decisions

  • Highly organized and self-motivated, with excellent communication and follow-through

  • Capable of building structure and discipline into a growing field service business

  • Confident in front of clients, reliable under pressure, and driven by outcomes

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in landscaping or a related home services trade is a strong plus

  • 2+ years of sales experience, particularly in B2C or territory-based roles, is preferred

  • Bilingual in Spanish is plus
