Job Summary 

The Area Director is responsible for driving growth and overseeing the daily operations of one or multiple offices within a specific geographic region. This position involves managing administrative tasks, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulationsoptimizing operational efficiency, and supporting the delivery of high-quality medical care. The role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with healthcare providers, staff, and senior management to meet organizational goals. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Manage the day-to-day operations, ensuring that all offices are running efficiently and effectively in line with organizational standards and objectives. 
  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to grow the client base and revenue within the assigned territory.  
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities, including partnerships with healthcare providers, hospitals, and community organizations. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources, such as physicians, case managers, discharge planners, and community leaders, to drive client referrals 
  • Supervise, support, and develop staff, including Directors of Patience Care Services, Clinical Supervisors, and other administrative personnel. Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to ensure optimal team performance. 
  • Monitor and manage the budget , ensuring that financial goals are met, expenses are controlled, and resources are allocated effectively. Work with finance teams to track expenditures, revenue, and financial performance. 
  • Ensure comply with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and accreditation standards. Stay up-to-date with healthcare policies and procedures, and implement changes as necessary. 
  • Oversee the implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational processes. Ensure patient satisfaction by monitoring and addressing any issues or concerns related to service delivery, safety, and overall care quality. 
  • Work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement regional strategic goals and initiatives. Provide regular reports on regional performance, including financial performance, patient outcomes, staffing, and facility operations. 
  • Ensure that the facilities have the necessary resources, including staffing, equipment, and technology, to meet operational needs. Oversee inventory management, ensuring timely replenishment of medical supplies and equipment. 
  •  Collaborate with HR to recruit, hire, and retain qualified healthcare professionals and administrative staff. Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet patient care needs and operational demands. 
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the offices, ensuring they are clean, safe, and equipped with the necessary tools to provide effective healthcare. Coordinate repairs, upgrades, and improvements as needed. 
  • Foster strong relationships and open lines of communication with PCGs, medical staff, and leadership teams across the region. Ensure that all stakeholders are informed about operational goals, changes, and initiatives. 
  • Address operational challenges, conflicts, and emergencies in a timely and effective manner. Act as a point of escalation for any facility-related issues that require resolution. 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare administration or management, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role overseeing multiple facilities or departments. 
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare operations, regulations, and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, CMS, JCAHO). 
  • Proven experience in budget management, financial oversight, and resource allocation. 
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to make strategic decisions, solve problems, and drive improvements across multiple facilities. 
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities. 
  • Proficiency in healthcare management software, MS Office Suite, and other relevant administrative tools. 
  • Ability to travel between regional facilities as needed.
