**Position Summary:**

The Continuous Improvement Leader at our client, will spearhead the implementation, sustainment, and enhancement of continuous improvement initiatives across the enterprise. This role involves hands-on engagement to foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence. The Continuous Improvement Leader will work closely with department leaders to identify, lead, and complete improvement projects using LLS tools and techniques.

**Roles and Responsibilities:**

**Building Culture and Capability:**
- Coach manufacturing operations in the application of lean tools, techniques, and behaviors, often through influence rather than authority.
- Support the creation and dissemination of tools, techniques, and training materials to document and promote LLS's continuous improvement methodology.
- Collaborate with manufacturing operations to identify departmental gaps and develop strategies to address them.
- Develop systems to spread new capabilities across the plant.
- Lead a cross-functional team to identify and address gaps in systems, capabilities, tools, and techniques.
- Work with external consultants and coaches to accelerate our client's evolution.
- Support and follow the direction of the Lighthouse Learning Systems director and management.

**Transformational Improvement:**
- Partner with manufacturing operations to build capabilities aligned with our client's ten-year vision, mission, and core values.
- Lead and facilitate kaizen events to improve lead times, flow, safety, quality, delivery, cost, and inventory.
- Work with the leadership team to prioritize lean efforts and value streams that drive business results.
- Implement lean thinking to create flow, establish pull, enforce 5S, manage visuals, standardize work, and solve problems rigorously.
- Utilize the Lighthouse Leadership library of assets and tools.
- Mentor and develop team members in alignment with company mission, core values, and leadership model.
- Perform additional tasks as required by management.

**Education, Qualifications, and Experience:**
- Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent education/training/experience in a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of documented lean experience or hands-on experience in leading complex processes in manufacturing, supply chain, quality, product development, or related functions.
- Extensive Gemba-based continuous improvement experience and strong proficiency in lean tools and techniques.
- Excellent leadership skills, particularly in influencing, coaching, and teaching.
- Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging both senior management and hourly associates.
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- In-depth understanding of business processes and related performance reporting and KPI management.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills with strong attention to detail.
- Broad experience in lean manufacturing and driving increased velocity and flow across manufacturing.
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to build strong internal and external relationships.
- Dedicated, accountable, and results-oriented with a sense of urgency.
- Proficiency in personal computer applications (Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint).
